A few nice hollywood film images I found:
All About Steve
I have recently watched "All About Steve" (what a dumb movie, but a location is a location), and I recognized this Irvine office building that was transformed into the CCN building where Steve (Bradley Cooper) worked. This office was also used as the Thompson building where Carl worked in the movie "You, Me, and Dupree" and was seen as the headquarters of Stark Industries for the movie "Iron Man".
September 14th–Hollywood is full of magic.
This is what I get to see on my way to our Friday night movie date. What movie are they filming here? All these cars make it look like the damn Kennedy assassination. And who films at Arclight on a fucking Friday night, anyway?? The traffic made me want to kill myself.
EDIT: I just saw Frost/Nixon and this was a scene for that. Which is I think the first time I’ve ever seen a movie that I watched being filmed (at least in part)–which is weird because I live in LA so honestly that probably happens more than I notice actually. At first when I saw movie crews around my neighborhood I’d be all omg what are they filming?? now I just get frustrated because inevitably the traffic is worse. Traffic has become a direct measure of my happiness, which i think just means i’m officially an Angeleno. But it was definitely the first time I’ve ever watched a movie that i saw being filmed, at the same place that it had BEEN filmed–did that sentence make any sense at all? I watched the movie in the Cinerama dome that’s being used as a location in this photo. yeah. anyway. oh and sidenote to the Arclight staff? Clean the motherfucking bathrooms!! There was blood–BLOOD–in huge splotches all over the floor. not like little drops from a nosebleed, like it fucking looked like West Side Story had broken out in the ladies and Riff had stumbled away from Bernardo toward the exit before collapsing. I believe I’ve painted a vivid enough mental image here to sufficiently share this psychic burden.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
A friend alerted me to the fact that she had seen the Four Aces Diner in an episode of BTVS (top). Season 5 "Spiral" to be exact. This diner / gas station / motel is in the desert outside of Palmdale and has been used in a host of movies, TV shows, and commercials.
